The China Forums
GA WORKS designed an innovative format in an intriguing environment that resulted in intense, fruitful, and rewarding dialogue and learning. US and Chinese delegations first met in a private, invitation-only conference at the site of the discovery of Peking Man to discuss the ethical, social, and legal issues of genomics. This dialogue then continued at a public town hall meeting, an unusual format within Chinese culture. (More...)

GA WORKS designed and convened a one-day conference with the Scientific and Medical Network that was held at Imperial College, London. This conference took an innovative approach and bridged the gap between traditional and alternative healing methods and the vision of future healing methods by integrating specialists on complementary and alternative medicine with experts on genetic technology to discuss the frontiers of medicine and genomics. 2001 conference: Emerging Diseases/Challenges in Indian Health in the New Millennium
GA WORKS designed and managed a panel discussion, Human Genome: Implications for Indian Health, which explored ethical issues and potential consequences for Native American populations of genetic research.
