Overview
The
INTEGRATIVE NURSING INSTITUTE (INI) was created to respond to the
current crisis in nursing and to provide innovative solutions for nursing
recruitment and retention through staff education and ongoing development
for nurses. We believe this is an extraordinary time and opportunity to
redefine the meaning of nursing and to refocus the profession in the 21st
Century.
Current statistical research reports that nurses are increasingly
dissatisfied with their profession due to prolonged stress, burnout
and the “quality of life” in the workplace. Further impacting this crisis is
the fact that the education, training, retention and ongoing professional
development of nurses all require significant financial and energetic
investments by the healthcare industry. Throughout the country the average
replacement cost of each nurse now runs between $30,000 and $55,000.
Even
though job opportunities for RNs are expected to grow by more than 21% over
the next 10 years, the number of nurses available to fill those jobs
is projected to decline. By 2010, there will be only 635,000 nurses to fill
1.8 million positions (Source: US Department of Health and Human Services).
The
INI offers creative strategies and educational opportunities for
nurses with an emphasis on self-care and new skills to bring to their
healthcare setting. Our goal is to provide a long-term plan that is cost
effective and provides for enhanced quality of patient care and nurse
satisfaction. Most importantly, the INI respects, values and empowers
nurses by recognizing their value as vital members of the healthcare system.
With
years of experience and a wealth of expertise, the INI offers a range of
opportunities for our clients to explore:
-
NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOR HOSPITALS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE SETTINGS
-
EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS IN INTEGRATIVE MODALITIES
-

WELLNESS PLANS
-
